Southworth International Group is looking for a Strategic Market Analyst who will work globally with analyzing our markets. As a Strategic Market Analyst, you will fill a key role in developing actionable business intelligence and market insights based on external market research and internal analysis of key business data across our three business regions (AMERICAS, APAC, EMEA). This is a new position in our company who will focus on understanding our market in order to strengthen our market position and reach new goals. You use your competence to analyze business needs and to develop appropriate strategies and models for a successful strategic marketing function within Southworth International Group and its business units. This is a global function working closely with our local marketing management, but also with executive management reporting to the President of Southworth International Group (based in the US). You will also have a close collaboration with our internal functions such as our designers, sales engineers and externally with end-customers, end-users, industry associations and other parties. The position is new, and as such, you will be able to influence the direction of the position and with your analysis contribute to our companies´ growth.
The Strategic Market Analyst is responsible for managing and fulfilling the market research needs of the Global Executive team and the regional business unit teams. This includes:
- Sourcing and interpreting industry research reports
- Identifying unmet demands for vertical positioning solutions
- Pricing guidelines based on offered solution
- Core competency/competition analysis
- Assessing new business and product opportunities
- Interviewing current and potential end users of our equipment
- Producing actionable business intelligence for the senior executives and sales teams.
- The Strategic Market Research Analyst is responsible for the development of the annual Strategic Market Development Plan and actively support the development of the 5 years Strategic Plan through the provision of accurate and insightful research and analysis.
You will be located in our Swedish office in Ängelholm where one business unit VPG (Vertical Positioning Group) production site is located. We are around 150 employees located in Sweden. Globally we are around 600 employees. Travelling is a part of this position and the amount of overnight stays yearly is approximately 50.
We´re looking for you with a university degree within Marketing, Economics, Statistics or related field. Through your years of working with market analysis you have gained excellent research and data analysis skills. You can design research projects, to interpret data and to produce concise, actionable and business oriented reports for senior executives. If you have experience working with the global market and if you have experience working in a production company within a technical field, we see that as preferable. You have good knowledge within Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Since you will be working with the global market you need to have good knowledge in English.
