Working as an Information System Analyst & Designer and participating in SEB’s International Trainee Programme will give you a unique opportunity to develop your professional skills in a modern and innovative company.
In your role at Investor Services, you will be part of a positive and engaged team working with Sub Custody. You will work at Investor Services whose expertise is in dealing with securities, complex information flows, transactions and accurat payments. As a trainee, your focus will be on developing smarter solutions for information delivery to meet high customer expectations. You will be able to manage your own initiatives where you will analyse the customer’s needs and propose products and solutions.

SEB´s Sub Custody provides custody services, for securities traded in a particular market or jurisdiction, on behalf of custodians who may not have an operation in that jurisdiction. SEB provides a single point of entry for seven markets including safekeeping, settlement and corporate actions for the client´s securities holdings. We also offer matching, clearing and settlement as well as delivery of the securities in exchange for payment. We back this up with access to business-critical information, allowing clients to make timely investment decisions and act quickly on them. Our main clients are, international banks supplying global custody to their clients.
As a trainee, you will work closely with different teams within Sub Custody such as technology, sales customer support and operations. Your mission is to find smarter and innovative ways to provide our clients with the information they need. This requires research and thorough analysis. From time to time you will visit the clients to conduct interviews, or collect survey findings on how they prefer picking up or receiving their information. You will also be responsible for driving the initiatives to implementation. After the trainee programme, there are plenty of opportunities to continue developing and creating information solutions and products within Sub Custody.

We are looking for people who can challenge us and we will do everything we can for you to get a kick-start career in SEB. In return, we ask for this:
- an academic degree in Economics, Finance or equivalent
- you are, or will soon graduate and have some work experience
- fluent in written and spoken English
It is not a requirement but a plus if you have experience acquired through leading projects, have worked within customer service or other service areas and studied/worked abroad.
You have great interest in the financial markets, as well as, a developed insight in tech solutions. You have a creative mindset and like to question the world around you in order to improve and build existing processes and products. As an Information System Analyst & Designer, you will lead projects and people, therefore you need leadership skills and the ability to establish collaboration with others. You also enjoy working closely with colleagues and customers.
